-My daughter made up a quote and I want to know your opinion.

These are just two "past/present" quotes, but was unable to locate your daughter's quote by another, strongly leading me to believe it is original!

Your daughter's quote is excellent, and oh so true!

It could also possibly be written:

"Those who dwell in the past, lose the present and the future."

"Those who dwell in the past, lose the present."

However, the quote as she stated it is quite excellent!! Again, I DO believe it is her original!!

i've heard that before but in different wording. its a very good quote whoever originally started it. past experiences can help us in many ways if they are all positive. its the hurtful, negative ones we need to forgive and move away from and live in the now.
She probably heard a similar quotation somewhere and reworded it to her own words.
Story of my life! I think it is a very good quote about people who nurse grudges.
