How do you say "to feel pain is to be alive" in Latin?

-I am wanting to create my own design for a tattoo and I want it to say "To feel pain is to be alive" in Latin but I am afraid that all of my research in translating this phrase may still be wrong. I have so far "Dolorem sentire est vivere" but I am not sure of the gramatical correct-ness of it all. I am not speaking in singular form nor is it directed to a person. It is a general statement to all. Are these words the correct conjugation forms for this phrase?"Dolere est vivere" is the best you're gonna get. that is. "to hurt is to live" (the intransitive "hurt", of course). xxlovexx's answer is pretty close, but the rest of her Latin is way off! I like the tattoo idea. "dolere est vivere" is the way to go.
u r ABSOLUTELY 100% correct! "Dolorem sentire est vivere" is the correct way to say this. sumo meus responsum optima! Utinam valde similis! vale!
