Does anyone know what this quote means?

-"Guard your principles jealousy, because at the end of the day, that's all a man has."Don't listen to what other people may say about your beliefs or actions. meaning your principles.. cause when everything you have, for example: money, fame and fortune will someday all be gone, and all that's left with you is yourself and your principlesIt's funny because this quote is similar to the Bible verse Proverbs 4:23 which say's "Guard your heart with all vigilance, for from it are the sources of life." I think this means the same thing as the quote. I hope this helps.
